I was just reflecting on all the sessions I had blogged in 2010, thinking I could share a few from each month this last year. But it ended up being a mega long blog post, so I decided to narrow it to one for each month. It was incredibly hard to narrow it down to just 12 images. Thank you so much to all of my clients - it has been such a joy to be able to capture your babies, children, seniors and especially families. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I’m looking forward to all that God has in store for us in 2011!
New Year, Lots of new Things! – {Little Rock, Arkansas Photographer}
December 30, 2010
ith the new year right around the corner, I’m ready to start sharing some of the changes for the new year at Gretchen Davis Photography. I’ll be posting several new posts her on the blog over the next week, keep checking back to hear all the news! One of my favorite new things for 2011 is the new way mini sessions are offered. For the last two years, mini sessions have exclusively been in October, and only for one weekend. They’ve been a big hit, and I love the sweet, simple feeling of these little sessions. The 2010 October mini sessions were fully booked a few hours after I announced them, I think we all like them!
So, through May 15, 2011, a limited number of mini sessions will be available each month for booking. They will be available on Monday mornings and a very few Sunday afternoons.
They are the perfect session for in between – a special half birthday, a new milestone, or just because your kiddo is so stinkin’ cute! Mini sessions are 20 minutes long and included in the session fee are 7 digital files for your personal printing. For the 2011 winter, mini session will be only be available in the new studio, they are one set/concept and one clothing choice. The cost is $250 and booking for these sessions is open… right now! These spots are very limited and will fill quickly, give me a call at 501.590.9054 or email me at gretchendavisphotography@gmail.com to claim one for your little one or to hear all the detailed information about these sessions.

he holiday rush is here. Well, its been here. I have gotten so very behind on sharing sessions here and on facebook and I’ve had big plans to give each one of these sessions their own blog post. But, as I look through my still uncompleted editing list, I decided I needed to make one big post and get closer to being caught up. There are still so many favorite sessions that haven’t made it here yet! Thank you all so so much for sharing your families and your sweet babies and your inspiring high school seniors with me. Here are a few highlights from this fall.

an I record the day for you? You know, That Day. That one day that was, ordinary, imperfect, perfect and extraordinary.
Its the day the air started out foggy, sleepy and crisply cool. And it ended warm, sunny and cheerful. That day when the leaves were dropping off the trees in flurries every time the wind blew. Its the day you were married for 11 years. The one when you held each other’s hands and retreated from the week together. When you kissed each other and celebrated each year together. Its the day when he was three and his little cheeks still held some of their baby roundness and his chubby little hands still had dimples. That day when he delighted in riding on your shoulders. When he thought every thing was funny and every moment was another chance to start a new game with you. That day, that moment, with his tiny sweet little heart, he squeezed your neck and kissed you spontaneously. And he lined his cars up, as he often does and named them one by one. The day you played together, you laughed and you treasured. That Day.
PS. I love these in color too, but the black and whites just really fit well.
PPS. I rarely write anything because I’m critical of my writing skills.
