I was just reflecting on all the sessions I had blogged in 2010, thinking I could share a few from each month this last year. But it ended up being a mega long blog post, so I decided to narrow it to one for each month. It was incredibly hard to narrow it down to just 12 images. Thank you so much to all of my clients - it has been such a joy to be able to capture your babies, children, seniors and especially families. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I’m looking forward to all that God has in store for us in 2011!
small peek at Julia’s newborn session.

And, a few from her Mama’s maternity session…

Stunningly beautiful. As a couple, as parents, they are beautiful. This tiny person waiting to join them is so loved already. I loved this session and it was terribly hard to narrow it down for a blog post! Here are my favorites.

Little Ava was such a sweet, quiet happy little girl for me. I love getting my hands on these brand new babies, new life is such a miracle. Here are my favorites.
This first one is my very favorite.

And here she is in the nest that was feathered just for her. I love the colors and whimsical feeling in her nursery. Its so perfect!

Sleeping like a baby.

Some of the little pieces that make up perfection.

One can’t believe impossible things, said Alice. I dare say you haven’t had much practice, said the Queen. When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast. – Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

Angela and her family invited me over for her maternity session last week and it was so fun! This little one will be number two for their family and I can’t wait to meet her. Maybe it was the light in their backyard that afternoon or maybe its those pretty fluffy yellow flowers or maybe I’m just looking forward to seeing one of my childhood favorite books on the big screen but I was thinking about Alice in Wonderland as I was editing this session. I thought those lines from the book really fit pregnancy. What a miracle it is to carry a baby! These 3 (4) have such a sweet connection as a family and I loved getting to play with big brother to be Ben! I can’t wait see how he helps with his baby sister in a few weeks. Here are a few more of my favorites.
Isn’t she stunning?

Goodness is he ever darling?! My favorite thing about this image is that little boy bruise on his left shin. Be still my heart, what a beautiful child!

So far this is my favorite family portrait for this month. I just love the moments in between.
